Truck Classes
- Cargo Van / Pickup: Best for dorms or moving a single piece of furniture.
- 10-12 ft Truck: Studio or small 1-bedroom apartment. Fits a Queen mattress and boxes. Easy to park.
- 15-17 ft Truck: The most common size. Fits a 2-3 bedroom flat or small home. Fits King mattresses and appliances.
- 20-26 ft Truck: 3-4+ bedroom house. The "Mom's Attic" section over the cab provides extra space. Heavy duty.
The "One Size Up" Rule
Professional movers advise: "It is better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." If you are on the borderline (e.g., a cluttered 1-bedroom), go for the 15ft truck. The cost difference is minimal compared to the nightmare of making two trips across town.
