The 6-Month Rule
Countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Brazil require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your entry. The Schengen Area requires 3 months beyond your planned exit.
Why?
This buffer ensures that if you get injured, delayed, or hospitalized, your travel document remains valid for your deportation or return flight.
